Four Months and bringing joy!

Lillie had her four month appointment today.  It was at 8:00, so Lillie would be setting the tone for the rest of her doctor's day.  Well our doctor was in luck because Lillie is such a happy baby!  She was smiling the whole time...well until the assistant with the shots started doing her job.  I hope those assistants are heavily compensated because the crying they must encounter.  Lillie was again pretty good.  She turned tomato red as the shots were being given, but once I was able to pick her up again she calmed right down.  By the end of the car ride she was snoring.  All in all she had a great check up and is developing wonderfully.  As an added bonus she even gave the doctor an excited squeal.  When we got home, I took her comparison pictures and it's amazing to see a reference point.  I remark everyday how much she's grown, but seeing her next to get cabbage patch always blows my mind!

Sitting development

Lillie's head control has gotten so good, that we started working on getting her to sit.  I started by laying her on her back and then lifting her up into a sitting position using her arms.  Now if you are holding her in your lap and are holding her hands, she will lift her body up into more of a sitting position all by herself.  The next phase was to get a floor seat that will support her body, but allow her to get used to sitting on her own.  She's just started using it and already spends a few minutes just looking around before she starts lunging forward while trying to eat her hand.

Visit to Great Grandma Lewis

Lillie was finally able to meet her Great Grandmother on Eric's side of the family.  Lillie really enjoyed her visit!

Time for new clothes

I recently swapped out Lillie's 3 months clothes with her 6 months clothes.  The final straw was when I put on her Halloween onesie and it barely fit her.  It was a 3 months onesie.  I did get a couple of pictures of her in it to compare to the first time she wore it when she was only 4 days old.

My pet lion

Lillie has gotten really good at grabbing toys.  She is especially fond of a stuffed lion, we have named Arnold.  They have become such good friends, Lillie regularly tries to eat Arnold.

World Domination?

I may be wrong, but Lillie looks like she's plotting something...

And I think she knows I am on to her.

My friend Minnie

Lillie received a new toy from her Aunt Lauren this weekend and Lillie has quickly made it her favorite toy.  She spent her first day with Minnie trying to bite her and today she has been trying to figure out exactly how it works.

Rolling over

Lillie made sure her 2nd month went out with some fireworks as that was the day that she first rolled over.  Unfortunately, I was not able to capture this moment, but luckily yesterday Lillie had a second rollover and I was able to catch that.  I can't believe how fast she is developing.  She tries to stand up every chance she gets and the other night she managed to rotate herself 90 degrees in the crib.  She does not like sitting still anymore.

Warning: Extreme cuteness coming from Lillie as well as silly noises coming from me.
