Lillie learned how to sit

Lillie decided today was the day that she would learn how to get into a sitting position from her tummy.  This is pretty much what she has been spending her time doing today.  The video I captured is action packed as it also included Lillie laughing and squealing towards the dogs.

Lillie computing

While Lillie was playing on the floor, I was next to her on my computer.  Lillie became very interested in my laptop, so I thought I would let her try it out.  This resulted in an awesome video.

Lillie scooting around

I thought I would get video of Lillie doing her scooting around.  It seems really weird, but she has figured out how to really get around!

Easter Pictures

Lillie had a big day for Easter.  She took her first long car ride (1.5 each way) and ate at her first restaurant.  Once again she proved she is just an awesome baby by hardly making a fuss during the car ride and then charming everybody in the restaurant.  She is such a happy baby!

Happy Half Year Birthday, Lillie!

Lillie is 6 months today and boy how she's changed.  For one thing, her photo shoot was a lot more interesting this time due to the fact that she has learned to scoot around the floor when lying on her back.  She can travel the length of the living room if we let her.  It doesn't look like a comfortable mode of transportation to me, but she's perfected it.  Of course if she doesn't feel like scooting, she'll just roll over on to her tummy so she can better interact with something close to her.

As for her appointment, last time she was mostly in the 20th/30th percentile for all her measurements.  This time, however, she's in the 40th percentile for both weight (15 lbs. 12oz) and head circumference (16.5 in).  Then we come to height...she is now in the 76 percentile of height (26.5 in)...she'll be taller than me by preschool.

We would be in serious trouble if she also had a really curious personality and did things like tried to grab all the Doctor's instruments that were being used during the check up.  Oh wait, that's exactly what she did.  Hmm...Well she is Eric's and my daughter and we're as curious by what she learns and discovers as she is.

Let me pet you!

The dogs really like being close to Lillie.  Unfortunately they only want to lick her and will not sit still long enough for her to pet them.  Needless to say they don't get to stay around her too long as we get tired of trying to teach them 'Not the face'.  Despite this, I did finally get some pictures of Lillie interacting with each dog.  Lillie finds both of them hilarious and is known to just look at them and laugh.

Easter Presents!

Lillie received a bunch of presents from the Easter bunny this year and has already drooled on all of the toys she received.  One toy in particular that the Easter Bunny dropped off at Grandma & Grandpa McKliget's house was a five sided activity cube.  I got some really cute pictures of her interacting with this toy.

Leaping Lillie

Lillie has grown into her jumper quite well and has been having a great time leaping around.  I got a great video of her alternating between intense concentration and wild leaping.

Visit from Aunt Kemi

This is Kemi's second time seeing Lillie and Lillie was a lot more interactive this time so I was able to get some great pictures.

Not the Mama! I'm gonna bite you now

Lillie has started teething and from time to time she will try to bite anything within reach.  I got a couple pictures of Lillie biting her dad during tummy time.

Barbie Dreamhouse

Lillie, Grandma McKliget and I went for a tour of the Barbie Dreamhouse at the Mall of America.  It was really fun to see Lillie interacting with the displays.  She almost made it all the way through before falling asleep.  Then she was pretty much the rest of our time at the mall.

Lillie's moving now

Lately Lillie has been propelling herself forward by either pushing her feet into the ground and taking her upper body along for the ride or hoisting her upper body up and throwing it sideways to make a turn.  Today, however, she started putting both of these together.  She still doesn't have enough strength to fully start moving, but she is making some frightening...I mean exciting progress.
