Eight months!

Lillie is eight months today and she is nothing like the baby we brought home last October!  She's gotten a lot more comfortable standing and will push up on all fours and "walk". I have no idea when she'll start walking, but I keep preparing for it at any moment. She has also had moments where she's really talkative. She has a few consonant sounds worked out and it's really fun to hear her babble. Next month we go back for a checkup. I am excited to see how much she has changed in the three months since the last appointment.

Lillie has been eating solids for a little while now, so we started introducing finger foods for her.  We have some cereal puffs that have a sweet potato flavoring and they are delicious!  Lillie thinks so as well as she just started using them to feed herself!  It's so much fun watching her figure it out and also seeing the remnants of puffs stuck to her hand that didn't quite make it in her mouth.

Lillie and Eric had a minor disagreement and Lillie made sure to really drive her point home.  Luckily after Lillie was done, Dad and daughter hugged it out.

Swimming

Lillie started swim class last week and she is a natural swimmer.  She kicks her legs and paddles her hands really well!  I can't wait until she's old enough for the water park.
